2009 Season

2008 will be known as the nearly season. Nearly in another National Cup Final and nearly Premier League Champions. After a tremendous run in the National with wins over Notts Cavaliers, York, Kendall and Chester-le-Street we played Kibworth at home in the semi final. In front of a very large crowd we lost the toss and ultimately the match on a damp wicket due to overnight rain. Kibworth, the deserved winners, went on to win the final.

The Premier League came to a very tight climax and no play was possible over the last two games. This halted our run towards a possible title. Nevertheless an exciting season for the 1st XI, under the leadership of John Trueman.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th XI's all had good seasons with the 3rd XI winning their divisional cup.

The Juniors once again showed Sandiacre what a promising future it has with an undefeated U11 side, a league winning U15 side and many county and district age group players.

We also have a function room to hire out for Birthdays / Weddings / Christenings / Naming Ceremonies / Any type of social function.
